We went to Cartegenta in November for a few days and hired Martin,based on all his great reviews, to give us a tour. We couldn’t decide what tour to book but decided to book him for a couple of hours for the city tour. Martin was very prompt and courteous in all our e mail exchanges, getting back to me right away with advice. He picked us up at our hotel as promised and gave us a wonderful tour, spending much more time with us than we bargained for and giving us a wonderful tour of the area, both in the old walled city and in the surrounding area. It was a great way to see Cartegena and I would recommend doing it at the beginning of your stay as we did. Martin is easygoing with a pleasant demenour. Although he must do so many of these tours, he never seems bored or jaded and aims to please. Thank you Martin!

Martin was booked on the day we wanted to tour, so we used Eduardo who works with Martin. Eduardo was great. Spoke English well and is very knowledgeable. He tailored our day to include everything we wanted to do. He was on time, the van was comfortable. We traveled with 4 young adults and we all enjoyed the day.

Martin made our one day stay in Cartagena perfect. He responded immediately by email to a request for arrangements and a tour. He sent us a list of hotels in varied locations and price range, then visited the two we were interested in, reserved and paid. He picked us up at the airport, checked us into the hotel and suggested things for us to do the next morning. We joined him after lunch for a four hour tour by car and on foot of the most important historical sights in Cartagena. He made the history of the city come alive and his enthusiasm was contagious. Even though I’m sure he’s done this hundreds of times, his stories and information were presented in a fresh and friendly way that made us fall in love with the city, too. After a delicious coconut limeade drink (may be the best drink I’ve ever tasted!), Martin and a driver drove us to Barranquilla where we joined a birding tour. I highly recommend Martin for any tour in Cartagena.
