We found Martin through TripAdvisor. We arrived in Cartagena for the day while on an Island Princess cruise in March 2016. Upon arrival there was someone to meet us and take us to Martin. We had a great day out seeing so much from the Fort, markets, Old Town, Monestry and local sights. Martin was very professional and would recommend this trip. Favourite places was the old town and fort. So much to see. Would love to go back and see more of Columbia. Thanks Martin.

Martín took us, in comfort, all over the city of Cartagena, pointing out areas of interest, recounting the history, as detailed as we wanted it, and providing insights into the culture. We stopped and toured forts, churches, historic convents, the Emerald Museum, and the Old City. We even had a short shopping excursion. The tour was ours to put together. It was most enjoyable! Martín is a lovable guy and I highly recommend him.

Martin took my friend and I around in his comfortable, air conditioned car, and gave us a full history and background of the city. We went to so many different sites that I wouldn’t have seen if not for him. At the end of the tour, he dropped us exactly where we wanted to go in the old city, and gave us great recommendations for the rest of our stay. We booked Martin based on reviews on TripAdvisor. His English was excellent. His car was clean and comfortable. He took us to all the major sites around Cartagena, especially the ones that would be difficult to access on our own. He was very knowledgeable about the history of the territory and gave us a great perspective. He picked us up at our hotel in Bocagrande and dropped us off at a great restaurant in Getsemani. It could not have been more convenient. It is my pleasure to recommend his services.

Highest recommendation to Martin for Cartagena tour–absolutely the best way to start a visit to Cartagena! It does cost a little more than one of the large bus tours, but it is definitely money well-spent and will give you a much better basis to enjoy your time in Cartagena rather than just wandering around the city on your own. We hired Martin for a half-day private tour that started with on-time pick-up from our hotel in new and clean air-conditioned SUV with driver so Martin could concentrate on talking to us rather than driving (a great feature given the traffic in Cartagena). Martin speaks excellent english, knows absolutely everything about Cartagena, answered all of our (many!) questions and provided lots of great historical info on other parts of South/Central America as well. The tour covered all parts of Cartagena and gave us a great understanding of the city’s place in history as well as how it has developed over the centuries. We very much enjoyed spending an afternoon with Martin and are sure that future visitors will too.
