Martin was great setting up our tour through email exchanges and being receptive to our individual requests. He arrived right on time at our hotel and gave us an informative, comprehensive tour of Cartagena’s main attractions. His English was top notch and his personality made it easy to get along with for the 4+ hours of our tour. He also set up a mangrove swamp tour for us and arranged for a driver to take us there and back, all at a very reasonable price. Definitely recommend him!

I work for a Canadian travel agency and hired Martin to take care of my guided tours in Cartagena and everything was perfect. He is professional and efficient, answers emails quickly and gets things done. I definitely recommend him!

Cartagena was fabulous! We loved the tour with Martin Rosales, Cartagena Tour Guide. There were only four of us on the tour. We traveled the busy streets in very nice van with great air conditioning. Our driver, Jan, did an excellent job of maneuvering the city streets. Martin showed us the Manga District, the small fortress Bocachica, we climbed and went inside Castillo San Felipe de Barajas, saw the city below from La Popa, visited La Bovedas, went to the Gold Museum and the Emerald Museum. We then went inside the walled city. We drove back to our ship along the shore and saw the beach. It was a very informative tour and we were able to see a lot of the sights in a very small amount of time. Martin was a very good guide and shared lots of information about Cartagena and Columbia. Highly recommend taking this tour if you want to see the inside of the fort as most tours did not go inside.

“We contacted Martin to arrange a personalised private tour for us for our day in Cartagena. He set us up with our guide, Jose, who made the most of every minute of the limited time we had.
We started with a fascinating trip through a mangrove swamp in an honest-to-goodness dugout canoe, followed by a tour of the home of Rafael Núñez, an important figure in Columbia’s history. Next came walking tours of two districts in Cartagena’s UNESCO old town, Gethsemane and El Centro Jose, an expert in architecture, had a wealth of information to share. After a driving tour of the new town, we visited the Castillo San Felipe de Barajas and the La Popa Monastery on the hill.
Jose strategically avoided arriving at the same time as the big buses, and despite the rain that plagued the day, he always managed to have us in the right place at the right time so we didn’t get wet. We saw everything we wanted to see and more, yet still made it back to the ship right on time.
We can’t recommend Cartagena Tour Guide highly enough.”

We truly enjoyed our tour with Martin. He is very knowledgeable. He is also very calm and personable. There are lots to learn about the beautiful city of Cartagena and Martin is definitely a very fine guide. He even helped us get a reservation at a restaurant we wanted to go to that was fully booked!! Highly recommend him. Enjoy
