The arrival of a new year, was very exciting for us!, we were preparing ourselves for new experiences and lots of changes, little did we know, everything will stop in a blink of an eye.

Bussines was going great!, family, friends, everyone had so many expectations with the arrival of 2020, however, long story short, Covid-19 appeared and spreaded all over the world with no control.

One of the first industries affected by it, was (and still is) Tourism, with the stop of the airports operations in the mayority of the countrys, as a messure to try to stop the new Coronavirus. In Colombia, Cartagena was the first city to be affected by it, with the cancellation of the cruise season and the closure of the airport just 15 days after the first case of Covid was detected in the country.

The mainstay of the economic industry in Cartagena is tourism, so almost the whole population has seen its job affected by it, believe or not, many of the people work as an independet worker or street vendor, which makes it a lot more complicated for everyone to have or find a way to support your family, when you actually depend on what you earn daily.

Six month after the pandemic spread throughout colombia, the goverment decide to start openning the airports gradually, beginning with the domestic operations and some humanitarian flighst from abroad. However, we have not experience a mayor change in our industry, we are still struggling to find jobs, people are still afraid of traveling, specially since Colombia has so many active cases of Covid.

We hope we can soon get back to normal and start working to show you our beautiful city and country! We are already working in all biosafety messures for you to feel safe and comfortable while visiting us.
